Safety & Security is part of the ‘Risk Management’ process, ensuring the safety of the person, the organization, the procedure or process.  Safety procedures and emergency response is therefore an essential part of the manned security function across a range of roles from security guard to public safety steward or close protection officer, indeed, these skills known as the ‘softer skills’ are much sought after by employers.  The range of job roles requiring first aid, advanced medical and health & safety knowledge will include:
